Cardiac Rehab: Week 7
This morning was busy with evaluations. I stayed with Kelly, the exercise physiologist, throughout the morning. She allowed me to sit at the monitor while the new patients performed the Nustep test. I entered the patient's RPE, blood pressure, and METS into the system during the evaluations. A resting ECG was printed in order to measure wave length and determine heart rhythm. It was interesting to see all of the different heart rhythms. The afternoon consisted of outpatient exercise classes. I enjoy working with outpatient more than inpatient. Although it is busier, I learn am exposed to much more and learn a lot more.

Hello Sheena,
ReplyDeleteBeing able to work closely with Kelly, do you think cardiac rehab is something you will pursue once completing the program?
